Ingredients
- 6 Crushed Garlic Cloves
- 2 Inch Sliced Piece Of Ginger
- 1 Chopped Red Chilli
- 1/2 Cup Runny Honey
- 1/2 Cup Dark Soy Sauce
- 6 Tbsp Rice Wine Vinegar
- 4 Tbsp Hoisin Sauce
- 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
Â
Method
Step 1
Place a deep saucepan on the hob, adding all of the ingredients into the pan (we recommend the wet ingredients first)
Step 2
Bring to the boil, stirring continuously so as to avoid burning or boiling over
Step 3
Reduce the sauce until it’s a consistency you’re happy with. We stirred it for 13 minutes, but remember that the sauce will be runnier when warm than when it cools
Step 4
Remove the ginger slices and any large pieces of chilli, and it’s ready to serve in a bowl, drizzled over meats or to add to a pan ad toss into your chicken, beef or vegetables
